Visual impairments in young school children can lead to permanent clinical deterioration and loss of academic progress. In many remote islands and farming villages, specialized pediatric ophthalmology is completely unavailable.
Our team of volunteer surgical experts, powered by the direct financial sponsorships of PACI Hope donors, set up custom mobile clinics. We successfully examined over 400 children, performed 12 minor corrective cataract surgeries, and distributed custom-made prescription glasses.
Seeing these children smile and read books independently is the greatest validation of our transparent medical release system.
